Grey Fergie Tractor

Shown splitting some large oak logs, powered by a simple, 'Old Grey Fergie' tractor. This one’s a 1953 TED20 with a P3 conversion!

The videos show the simple and effective one-man operation of a Hycrack HC1X Splitter.

The logs are split from a pile of stringy oak rounds cut earlier in the year. Most rings are about 18”-20” diameter and about 20” long.

Many have branch stubs and would be difficult to log up with a ram splitter and almost impossible with an axe!

The logs have been split for a medium sized wood burning stove but could easily be made smaller as can kindling. Enough wood was split and stacked in an afternoon for half a winter for a stove and an open fire.
